Strangers
In the midst of a novel by Robyn Sisman, titled "Perfect Strangers". Absolutely engaging, although my progress is slowing coz I simply can't bear to finish it!
Can perfect strangers ever fall in love? The fantasizing side of me tells me it's possible, but the logical side of me tells me it's extremely hard. The relatively cold receptiveness of Singaporeans in general towards online dating, match-making and what-have-yous just point to the fact.
This brings me to, though probably irrelevant, my thoughts of a movie I watched recently, "Turn Left Turn Right". It's about this couple who long to see each other again but fails time and time again despite them just living just a wall apart. Predictably, I sat through the movie cursing and feeling annoyed and impatient and wonder when they can finally meet.
But, hey! Wake up! This kind of plot and fairytale ending is just too good to be true! But, then again, it's good enough for "fantasizers" like me!
Enjoy!
